Billing Quarters:

• January
• April
• July
• October

Water Rates:

• District Customers:  $4.25 per 1,000 gallons + $16.00
• Bulk Customers (Hydrant Service):  $4.25 per 1,000 gallons
• If you own a meter and are a District Customer, but did not use water during a quarter, you will still be charged a flat rate of $16.00.

Payment Deadlines:

• Customers have 15 days to pay from Bill Date to Due Date. (Without the Late Fee.)

• After the original Due Date, Customers have 5 more days to pay.  (With the Late Fee.)

• Late Notifications will be sent to any Customer who has not paid before this point. Customers will have 7 days to pay their original amount plus Late Fee after receiving this notice.

• If Customer does not pay their bill after receiving the Late Notification, the Town of Gaines will terminate service without further notice.

• There is a drop-box to the right of the Town Hall entrance for after-hours water bill payment. Please use only checks or money orders if you will be using the drop-box.

District 1: Gaines Road, Gaines Basin Road, Gaines Waterport Road, Northwood Drive, Oak Orchard Road, Ridge Road and West Bacon Road

District 2: Cherry Avenue, Eagle Harbor Knowlesville Road, Eagle Harbor Waterport Road, Midway Road, Ridge Road and School Lane

District 3: Eagle Harbor Waterport Road and Ridge Road

District 4: Brown Road, East Bacon Road, Gaines Waterport Road and Oak Orchard Road

District 5: Crandall Road, Eagle Harbor Knowlesville Road, Howlett Road, Kenyonville Road, Ridge Road and Zig Zag Road

District 6: Albion Eagle Harbor Road, Gaines Basin Road.

District 7: Crandall Road, Keitel Road and Lattin Road

District 8: Densmore Road, West Transit Church Road and Zig Zag Road

District 9:  Transit Road and West Transit Church Road (Joint Project with Town of Murray)

Please Note:  If you have property on a road which utilizes a public water line and are within the specified feet of a fire hydrant, you may be eligible for a reduction of your insurance premium!  Contact your insurance company for more information.

Note to Landlords:

If you are a Landlord and you have a new tenant moving into your service address, please request a final read before your new occupants move in. Either call, come into the Town Hall or print, complete and mail the Landlord Final Bill form to do so.

The Water Department will fill out specific account information such as Meter ID Number and MXU; however, supply as much information as you can.

Note to Tenants & Homeowners:

If you are a Tenant or Homeowner and you are leaving a service address, please request a final read before you vacate the property. Either call, come into the Town Hall or print, complete and mail the Final Bill form (below) to do so.
